Palestinian Prisoner’s Society: 640 Children Detained since October 7

Ramallah, The Israeli occupation detained 640 Palestinian children in the occupied West Bank since the start of its aggression on the Gaza Strip on Oct. 7, the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) said in a statement Monday.

Since the start of the Israeli genocide, at least 640 detentions have been recorded among children, including those who were later released by the occupation authorities and those who remain in Israeli custody, the PPS said.

Nearly 250 children currently in the occupation prisons are subjected to all kinds of reprisals, including abuse, torture and medical crimes, the statement added.

The Palestinian Prisoner’s Society announced earlier that the Israeli occupation has arrested more than 9170 Palestinians in the West Bank and thousands in the Gaza Strip since the start of its brutal aggression against the Palestinian people on Oct. 7.
