Palestinian Ministry of Awqaf Condemns Israeli Minister’s Storming of Al-Aqsa

The Palestinian Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs condemned the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by the Israeli Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir.

The storming of Al-Aqsa by the political echelon in the far-right government is an assault on a pure religious place that was only dedicated to Muslims and others are not entitled to enter it, which is considered a heinous crime and assault on sanctities and Islamic places of worship, the ministry stressed in a press statement on Sunday.

The Palestinian Ministry of Awqaf called on international institutions to act immediately to defend the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque which is being exposed to a horrendous attack. It also called on Palestinian people to decamp in Al-Aqsa and defend the Mosque.

For his part, Palestinian Chief Justice and Advisor to the Palestinian President for Religious Affairs and Islamic Relations Mahmoud Sidqi Al Habbash warned that settlers' incursion into the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque spearheaded by the far-right minister Itamar Ben-Gvir would inflame the region and the world, holding the Israeli occupation government responsible for that.

Such constant incursions are the peak of a religious war launched by the occupation against all Muslims in Jerusalem city and flagrant violations of the international law and the international community's resolutions, Al Habbash added.

He called for immediate action at all levels to halt the recurrent violations against Al -Aqsa, emphasizing that Palestinian people will continue defending their sacred places by all price and sacrifices.
