Palestinian FM Breifs OIC on Israeli Escalation on Palestinian people

Jeddah, July 10 (QNA) – Palestinian Foreign Minister Riad Al-Malki urged Thursday the international community to provide protection for the Palestinian people and lift the unjust siege on the Gaza Strip as well as setting up a fact-finding committee on the Israeli crimes , collective punishment against the Palestinian people and the violations of the rights of the Palestinian prisoners by occupation forces.

The statement was made by Al-Malki , during the expanded extraordinary meeting of the Executive Committee at the level of Foreign Ministers of Organization of Islamic Conference Member States ,which is being held here in to discuss the repercussions of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.

In his keynote speech, Al-Malki called on the international community to hold Israel responsibility for hampering truce efforts ,stressing the need for the inclusion of settler groups and their members on terrorism lists as well as taking practical measures against the settlement system and its infrastructure of terrorism and racism.

    The Palestinian Foreign Minister said : “We are facing a very critical juncture and Israeli aggression is threatening the lives of the people of the Gaza Strip”.

The occupation government declared that the objectives of its military campaign is to hit the national reconciliation government and punish the Palestinian people a matter which requires a firm stand by the international community, he added.

   He pointed to the murder and torture of the child Mohammed Abu Khudair, who was burned alive by a group of settlers.

The Executive Committee consists of the troika of the Islamic Summit, namely: Egypt, Senegal and Turkey and OIC council of foreign ministers Troika which include: Saudi Arabia, Guinea and Kuwait, in addition to the OIC Secretary General.(QNA)
