The Palestinian Ministry of Education affirmed that 11,852 students have been killed and 18,959 have been injured since the start of the Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
Palestine’s News Agency (WAFA) quoted a statement from the Palestinian Ministry of Education, reporting that since the start of the aggression, over 11,738 students have been martyred in the Gaza Strip, and 18,365 have been injured.
In the West Bank, 114 students have been martyred, and 594 have been injured, with an additional 450 detained.
WAFA highlighted that 560 teachers and administrators have been martyred, and 3,729 have been injured in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, while over 148 have been detained in the West Bank.
Additionally, 362 government schools, a university, and various buildings, along with 65 UNRWA-run facilities, have come under shelling and vandalism in the Gaza Strip. Of these, 124 facilities have been severely damaged, and 62 have been completely devastated. In the West Bank, 84 schools a
nd 7 universities have been overrun and damaged, while 133 government schools are being used as shelters in the Gaza Strip, the statement continued.
The ministry emphasized that 718,000 students have been deprived of enrollment in schools and universities since the start of the Israeli aggression, with many suffering from psychological trauma and challenging health conditions
