Pakistani Federal Supreme Court Refuses to Allow General Musharraf to Leave Pakistan

Islamabad, June 23 (QNA) – The Federal Supreme Court in Pakistan ruled on Monday by refusing to allow the former President General Pervez Musharraf to leave the country.

The decision came after the court rejected the recent decision adopted by of another regional court in Pakistan which had ruled to remove the name of General Musharraf from the list of people banned from travelling.

General Musharraf is facing the case of state treason as he repealled the country’s constitution and imposed the military rule in 1999 and the emergency law in 2003. He is also accused of the assassination of the former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto and a tribal leader from the province of Balochistan, Nawab Akbar Bugti. (QNA)
