One million IDPs Registered in Pakistan

Islamabad, July 22 (QNA) – Pakistan’s federal minister for states and frontier regions Abdul Qadir Baloch said that so far about one million internally displaced persons (IDPs) of the North Waziristan tribal region have been registered, while NADRA has verified 50,000 families.

In a press conference in Islamabad on Tuesday, Baloch said that the entire nation will have to stand by the IDPs in this hour of trial. He urged the nation to play its role by taking active participation in relief activities, so to win the hearts and minds of the IDPs.

He said that terrorism has badly affected the economy of the country, reiterating that Pakistan is an investment paradise but due to this menace, neither international investment is coming nor local investors are ready to invest. (QNA)
