Omani Foreign Minister Stresses in Phone Call with British Counterpart Necessity of Taking Practical, Concrete Measures to Stop War on Gaza

Muscat, Foreign Minister of Oman Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi stressed in a phone call Wednesday with his British counterpart James Cleverly the necessity of taking practical and concrete measures to stop the war on Gaza, and to focus on opening humanitarian corridors to confront the life catastrophe experienced by civilians in the Strip.

Oman News Agency (ONA) said that the two ministers exchanged views regarding the ongoing Israeli military escalation in Gaza and the continued loss of civilian lives. They emphasized the importance of respecting international law, ending the cycle of violence and reaffirming the international community’s stance on achieving comprehensive peace through a two-state solution.

The Omani Foreign Minister expressed his condemnation of the Israeli occupation forces’ targeting of Jabalia camp in the Gaza Strip, which led to the martyrdom and injury of hundreds of civilians, calling on the Security Council to put an immediate end to the crisis and the inhumane Israeli practices against the Palestinian people.
