Oil prices rise

Washington – Ma’an – Oil prices rose in trading on Monday, amid fears that the conflict in the Middle East could expand to Lebanon.

By 09:25 Moscow time, US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures rose 0.61% to $77.63 per barrel, while Brent crude futures rose 0.68% to $81.68 per barrel.

Experts believe that concerns about escalating tensions in the Middle East led to a new wave of oil purchases, but fears of weak demand from China limited the rise in black gold prices.
