OIC Expresses Concern over Deteriorating Conditions of Niger’s President

Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Hussein Ibrahim Taha expressed his concern over reports about the deteriorating conditions of Niger's President Mohamed Bazoum and his family members who are still in custody.

In a statement on Saturday, Taha renewed his call for immediate release of Niger's democratically elected President and his family members, affirming OIC's support to regional efforts aimed at reaching a peaceful settlement in Niger, restoring the constitutional system and safeguarding its security and safety.

He urged all active entities in Niger to give priority to high interests of Niger's people.
