The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the burning of holy Quran copies on Friday in two different locations in Copenhagen, Denmark.
In a statement on Sunday, the OIC considered that these provocations that took place by the same individuals and extreme far-right groups on the grounds of freedom of speech are seen as spreading hatred and intolerance against Islam and Muslims.
The statement called on the Danish authorities to take the necessary measures against these hate crimes' perpetrators and prevent such provocations.
