OIC condemns building of 1,400 Israeli settlement homes

WAM JEDDAH, 12th January, 2014 (WAM) — The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Sunday strongly condemned Israel’s decision to build 1,400 settlement homes in the West Bank including Jerusalem.

The organization in a statement said, “Israel’s settlement expansion is illegal and is a violation of the international laws”, adding that “it is jeopardizing the peace process and the two-state solution”.

OIC Secretary General Eyad Bin Ameen Madani called on the international community to take its responsibilities to end Israel’s settlement policies in Palestine. Madani also called on NGOs to take a stand against Israeli policies WAM/AAMIR
