Nishan Vodafone Ramadan Tournament to conclude on Wednesday

DOHA – Curtains will come down on the prestigious fourth edition of 2022 Nishan Vodafone Ramadan Tournament at the Lusail Shooting Range on Wednesday.

This community tournament is organized under the patronage of the H.E Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) President, Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani from 3rd to 19th of April, with the participation of more than 500 competitors in both the amateur and professional categories.

Tuesday’s competition have seen a turning point in the Men’s professional category standings, Qatar’s Khalifa Ali Mohammed Abdalla Al Attiyah hit a perfect Archery to jump up to the first place with ( 659 points), as his teammates Mohammed Ahmed Al Rumaihi rolled back to the second place (642 points) and Masoud Ali Al Ezbah stepped back to the third place ( 641 points).

In the women archery professional event, Reem Al Sharshani jumped up again to the first place ( 638 points), Mona Naser Fraj Al Nubi finished in the second place (612 points) and the third place went to Sarah Gholam Ali (515 points).

In the men archery amateur event, Badr Mubarak Al Mari has retained his top spot in the standings with ( 606 points), Hernan Fernandez moved up to ( second place with 601 points) and the third place went to Masoud Ali Al Ezbah ( 597 points).

In the women archery amateur event, the standings has completed changed , where Ghada Ali Al Ghamdi jumped up to the top with ( 432 points), Enad Ibrahim Al Faouri finished in the second place (420 points) and Ahlam Mazen Abdulatif rolled back to the third place (391 points).

Tournament director and Assistant Secretary General of Qatar Shooting and Archery Association Mr. Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Tamimi said , this year edition set a new record in terms of participants whose number reached 500 competitors as the technical performance hit the highest levels.

“ We are very grateful to give a letter of thanks to all supporters and sponsors, including Vodafone, Blue Salon, Mazzraty, Al-Rami Sport Club (Sport Shooting Club) and Qatar Voluntary Center, who left no stone unturned to make this tournament successful and exceptional” added Mr. Al Tamimi.

This tournament aims to discover the most talented elements in the game , develop their skills and helping clubs and national teams to achieve quantum leap in the game and promoting this sport among citizens and residents whose rate of participation in the game rises sharply year by year.
