National Commission for Childhood holds second meeting

Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al Asfoor, Minister of Social Development, chaired the second meeting of the National Commission for Childhood.

Al Asfoor affirmed the commission’s important role in the development of children in the educational, cultural, and psychological sectors through the implementation of a national strategy to enhance programs and projects that serve and protect children’s rights.

He commended the outstanding efforts made by the members of the commission in consolidating the principles of cooperation between various government agencies and civil institutions, which contributed to the sector’s growth and achievement.

The meeting reviewed the committee’s work system and financial regulations.

The meeting also discussed preparations for Children’s Day next November, as well as the latest developments related to the Bahraini national strategy for promoting childhood safety.
