Muharraq voters offered passport alternatives for by-election

General

Manama, The Executive Directorate for the By-Election for the Council of Representatives announced that voters in the first constituency of Muharraq Governorate who do not have their passports on election day, due to loss or other reasons, can visit the Nationality, Passports, and Residence Affairs (NPRA) office at the Muharraq Security Complex on election day or during the run-off. They can request a voting card, which will serve as an official replacement for their passport, allowing them to vote, provided they bring their ID card.

The directorate also clarified that if a passport expires between the election and the run-off dates, it can still be used to vote on September 7 and during the run-off on September 14, 2024, between 8 AM and 8 PM.

The NPRA office will be open from 8 AM to 7:30 PM on both by-election day, September 7, and run-off day, September 14.
