MOPH and Partners Celebrate National Day

The Ministry of Public Health, Hamad Medical Corporation and Primary Health Care Corporation organized a celebration today on the occasion of Qatar National Day, at Hamad bin Khalifa Medical City, in the presence of Her Excellency Dr. Hanan Mohammed Al Kuwari, Minister of Public Health, and several officials and employees of the health sector, who participated in the flag-raising ceremony to commemorate this precious occasion. The Qatari Armed Forces Music Band participated in the ceremony by playing the national anthem and some military music pieces.

HE Dr. Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari, Minister of Public Health, extended congratulations and blessings on the occasion of the National Day to His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar; the Father Amir HH Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the Deputy Amir HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani and the honorable Qatari people.

HE the Minister also congratulated health workers on this occasion and lauded their great efforts, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, pointing out that these efforts, which contributed to the protection of public health, are highly appreciated by all the people of Qatar.

The Ministry of Public Health and several health facilities were decorated with the flags of Qatar and this year’s National Day slogan “Ancestral Meadows: A Matter of Trust.”

For his part, Mr. Ali Al Khater, Chairman of the Supreme Communications’ Committee for Healthcare at the Ministry of Public Health, said “We, the health sector, are glad to join the people of Qatar in celebrating the National Day. In compliance with Covid-19 precautionary measures, we made sure to keep our celebration as simple, yet reflected the depth of our love and pride in our precious country and appreciation of the achievements in all fields.

The Ministry of Public Health also organized several contests for its employees, including the best patriotic poem; video contest for MOPH employees’ children on the best patriotic statement and support for the health sector; and contests on Qatar’s heritage, culture, history and environment.
