WAM ABU DHABI, 8th January, 2014 (WAM)–His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received this afternoon at al-Mamoura, the visiting Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny and the delegation accompanying him.
The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi welcomed the Irish Prime Minister and the delegation accompanying, hoping that the visit would further strengthen the friendship and cooperation ties between the UAE and the Republic of Ireland.
During the meeting, Sheikh Mohamed and Kenny discussed the cooperation ties and importance of strengthening them to serve mutual interest in all sectors, especially in the areas of education, economy and investment. They stressed the need for developing the existing ties through more coordination and economic and scientific partnerships.
The two sides tackled the latest regional and international developments as well as views on issues of mutual interest.
The meeting was attended by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE Foreign Minister, Saqr Ghobash, Minister of Labour, head of the mission of honour accompanying the Irish Prime Minister, Mohammed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, the Under Secretary of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi’s Court, the Irish Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton, Patrick Hennessy, Irish Ambassador to UAE and a number of officials.
