Interior Minister Major General Muhammad Rahmoun affirmed the strength of relations between Syria and Iran, which rose to the highest levels in all fields.
During his meeting today with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Damascus, Mahdi Sobhani, on the occasion of the end of his duties as Ambassador of his country to the Syria, Minister Rahmoun praised the efforts made by Ambassador Sobhani to develop the relations that serve the interest of the two friendly countries.
Rahmon thanked Iran, leadership and people, for standing by Syria during the years of the terrorist war against it, in addition to the humanitarian assistance it provided to quake- affected people.
In turn, Ambassador Sobhani affirmed the depth of bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, and his country’s continuation in providing support to Syria.
