Minister of Tourism visits Naseej’s projects in Dilmunia Island and Madinat Salman

Tourism Minister Fatima bint Jafar Al-Sairafi stressed the importance of supporting projects that play a vital role in promoting local and regional tourism in Bahrain and enhancing Bahrain’s standing.

She made the comments as she visited Naseej’s projects located in Dilmunia Island and Madinat Salman. During her visit to the Island of Dilmunia, she visited the CanalView project, the Mall of Dilmunia, as well as the new Nadeen School.

She discussed various initiatives of common interest that fall under the scope of Bahrain’s tourism initiatives and programs that serve the opportunities in engaging with the private sector within the framework of the tourism strategy 2022-2026.

She toured the tourism-related projects under Naseej at Madinat Salman and witnessed the potential that the Island has to offer with regards to its attractive beach-front feature.

She discussed plans to transform the beach front into a touristic location that hosts great potential for national and regional events.

She also highlighted the activities on the main beachfront, whereby residents as well as visitors to the Island can enjoy various water-sporting activities. Her Excellency stressed the importance of enhancing this area as it will boost local tourism in the area.

During the tour the minister and Naseej Chief Executive Officer Amin Al-Arrayed discussed the role of the public and private sectors in promoting tourist destinations.

The noted the importance of large scale touristic projects in creating tourism opportunities, with the promising prospects for added success and diversity to Bahrain’s hospitality sector.

The minister praised the efforts made by Naseej in implementing these projects with the highest standards, which support the development of the tourism sector in Bahrain.

Such efforts go hand-in-hand towards enhancing the tourism sector, which is considered an essential pillar in supporting the Bahraini economy, she said.

Al-Arrayedexpressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Government of Bahrain in their efforts in supporting private sector projects. He also thanked the minister for visiting Naseej’s projects located in Dilmunia Island and Madinat Salman.

Al-Arrayed also affirmed Naseej’s commitment to diversifying its real estate & development projects in order to serve the development of the tourism sector, support Bahrain’s economic development by enhancing the attractiveness and competitiveness of the Kingdom and attracting more investments.
