Caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, on Wednesday held a series of ministerial meetings at the Grand Serail, during which the conditions and affairs of the ministries and preparations for tomorrow’s caretaker cabinet session were presented.
In this context, Premier Mikati met with Caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Dr. Abdullah Bou Habib, Caretaker Tele-Communication Minister, Johnny Corm, and Caretaker Minister of Information, Ziad Makary. Mikati also held a meeting with Caretaker Minister of Labor, Mustafa Bayram, in the presence of the Prime Minister’s Advisor, former Minister Nicolas Nahas, and the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Judge Mahmoud Makieh.
The issue of public sector salary increases was presented.
Moreover, Premier Mikati received at the Grand serail former deputy speaker Elie Firzli.
Mikati also received a delegation from the General Labor Confederation, headed by Dr. Beshara Al-Asmar, who said after the meeting that they discussed with the Premier the
current situation of the public sector.
Mikati later received MP Ahmed Al-Khair, over an array of demands and affairs related to the Minieh district.
