Mawashi Brings Turkish Sheep to the Qatari Market

Doha, September 15 (QNA) – Mawashi has announced the arrival of first shipment of Turkish sheep to the Qatari market, which includes sheep of the Syrian-originated Awassi species. The shipment, which arrived at Doha Port, was processed in accordance with a timetable that guarantees high-quality and fresh products, and will be available to Qatari consumers at the best price, a Mawashi statement said Saturday.
The statement added that imported Australian sheep comes by sea, and shipments from Turkey, Ethiopia and Armenia come via Doha Airport and air cargo, while shipments from Jordan and Saudi Arabia come by land.
The Turkish shipment comes as an extra addition that shows the company’s commitment to providing the local market with the best imported cattle from neighbouring Arab countries and global markets in order to meet the growing demand in both the retail and wholesale markets. 
The statement added that Mawashi is getting ready for the busy Eid Al-Adha period, stressing the important role and the added value secured by Mawashi fleet that delivers to the homes of citizens and residents.
Mawashi so far has imported cattle shipments from Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Georgia, Ethiopia, Turkey, Armenia and Sudan, as well as cold meats from Kenya, India, Pakistan and Somalia. (QNA)
