Luke Shaw Extends Contract With Manchester United Until 2027

Manchester United, the Premier League football club, announced Tuesday that it has signed a new contract that will extend international defender Luke Shaw's stay at the club until 2027.

In an official statement, the English club stated that the contract with Luke Shaw has been extended until June 30, 2027.

Before renewing it for three new seasons, Shaw's contract with Manchester United was set to expire in the summer of 2024.

The defender has made 249 appearances for the club since joining from Southampton in 2014.

"Nine years ago, I signed for this amazing club, and I am thrilled to be extending my stay," Shaw said, pointing out that he has grown immensely since coming to Manchester all those years ago, both as a person and as a player.

"We are at the beginning of our journey under the manager and his coaching staff. We have been successful already this season, but we want much more. There is a great opportunity to create something special here, and I am going to give everything to be part of that," he added. (QNA)
