Libyan National Safety Authority Declares Control over Oil Tanks Fires in Tripoli

Tripoli, August 11 (QNA) – National Safety Authority under the Libyan Ministry of the Interior has announced that it had gained control over fires of the eight Oil tanks after an operation that lasted for more than ten consecutive days.

Chairman of the committee team of crisis for the National Safety Authority Mohammed Mahmoud declared in a press release last night and carried by the Libyan news agency that the firefighters managed to extinguish the fires which broke out in eight tanks in the warehouses of Brega Petroleum Marketing Company.

The fires broke out over the past few days in fuel tanks as a result of fierce battles between conflicting groups in Tripoli and the fall of a number of missiles on those tanks. (QNA)
