Launch of Bahrain Declaration n Egypt welcomed

Editor-in-chiefs, directors and deputy editors-in-chief of Egyptian national newspapers hailed the launch of the Bahrain Declaration in Cairo, which became the first Arab and African city to host such an event.

They commended the document which, they said, reflects Bahrain's commitment to promoting peaceful coexistence and human development.

In a statements on the sidelines of the launch ceremony, they described the declaration as a model to emulate in the Arab region and the world.

The Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of the Middle East News Agency Ali Hassan, hailed the declaration which represents a call for peaceful coexistence among human beings.

He stressed the importance of the values enshrined in the covenant which advocate peace to prevails in the world in general and our Arab region in particular.

He expressed delight at launching the Declaration of Bahrain from Egypt, hailing the royal patronage of the His Majesty the King for the inauguration ceremony.

He highlighted support for the initiative from representatives of all religions, including the His Holiness the Pope of the Vatican, Al Azhar Grand Imam and elders in the world.

Abdul Razzaq Tawfiq, Editor-in-Chief of the Egyptian Al-Jumhuriya newspaper, said that Cairo embraces and supports every Bahraini and Arab progress.

He noted that the declaration reflects Bahrain's keenness to establish the rules of human rights, and embodies the Bahraini-Arab-Egyptian keenness to build the human being in a complete and integrated manner.

The launch of the Bahrain Declaration was also hailed by Al Ahram Deputy Editor in Chief Hany Farooq,Al Ahram editing director and National Press Authority member Sameh Abdulla and other key media figures.
