Land Crossings Between Egypt and Sudan Open Next Few Days

Cairo, May 25 (QNA) – Egyptian Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour revealed that the land crossings between Egypt and Sudan will be opened in the upcoming few days to facilitate the flow of trade to counties of central Africa and member countries of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) and to activate bilateral trade between the two countries.

This came during the opening session of a workshop which was co-organized by the Trade Agreements Sector (TAS) at the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on trade facilitation through the development of ports and border crossings department within the framework of the Aid for Trade Initiative for Arab States, which includes Egypt and Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Sudan and Iraq.
