Kuwait Bourse Closes Lower

Kuwait Bourse closed Wednesday trading as the All Share Index lost 19.83 points to reach 7,175.51 points, a decrease of 0.28 percent. As many as 252.2 million shares valued at KD 58.3 million (roughly USD 177.8 million) were traded via 15,602 transactions. The Main Market Index went up by 6.62 points to reach 5,963.19 points, an increase of 0.11 percent, through 130.6 million shares done via 6,373 transactions valued at KD 13.2 million (roughly USD 40.2 million). The Premier Market Index went down by 27.78 points to reach 7,843.43 points, a decrease of 0.35 percent through 121.5 million shares done via 9,229 transactions valued at KD 45.16 million (roughly USD 137.7 million). Meanwhile, the bourse Main 50 Index gained 13.69 points to reach 5,788.26 points, an increase of 0.24 percent, through stock volume of 83.2 million shares done in 3,871 deals at a value of KD 8.7 million (roughly USD 26.5 million).
