King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence Chairman participates in Confluence of Conscience Conference

Abu Dhabi, Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence participated in the Confluence of Conscience Conference organised by Muslim Council of Elders (MCE) in UAE.

In his speech, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah affirmed the importance of unifying international efforts aimed at protecting the future of humanity, praising the UAE’s efforts to host the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28), which supports the development of comprehensive climate change strategies and linking them to the sustainable development goals.

He said that Bahrain has succeeded in enhancing environmental quality and reducing the effects of global warming through building an integrated system linking environmental protection with achieving sustainable development goals.

Dr. Shaikh Abdullah noted that the centre seeks to invest in human values to achieve equitable coexistence with the environment, as an essential demand supported by all religions.

He called for raising awareness and enhancing capabilities, within a responsible humanitarian partnership capable of applying modern technologies alongside religious values to achieve environmental recovery.
