Khalifa Foundation distributes 17,000 food parcels to the poor in Sana’a
WAM SANA’A, May 16th, 2013 (WAM) — The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation (KF) in Yemen has distributed 17,000 food parcels to poor Yemeni families in Sana’a.
The move is within the sixth stage of the Foundation’s distribution of food assistance among the needy in implementation of the AED 500 million aid announced by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan for Yemen.
The Foundation team distributed 2500 food parcels to needy families in the Bani Hashish Area of Sana’a. The number of food parcels distributed to poor families so far has reached 17,000.
KF’s team also presented food aid to orphans, widows and the elderly, and visited Al- Amal Psychiatric Hospital in Sana’a.
Dr Jameel Abdel Hamid Al Yousfi, Director General of Al-Amal Psychiatric Hospital hailed the humanitarian aid provided by the philanthropic Foundation, which comes in the light of the UAE and its leadership’s support to the Yemeni people and reflects their humanitarian stance towards Yemen.
