JORDANIAN KING HOLDS TALKS WITH VISITING QATARI DEPUTY P.M.

AMMAN, Jordan's King Abdullah II held discussions with the Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, at the Al Husseiniya Place on Wednesday, on ways to forge closer relations between Jordan and Qatar.

During the meeting, the Qatari deputy prime minister conveyed to the king the greetings of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani said Qatar would provide 10,000 jobs for Jordanians in Doha, as well as a package of investments targeting infrastructure projects worth 500 million US dollars in the kingdom.

The meeting also focused on current regional developments and the need to intensify efforts to counter terrorism with a holistic approach.

The meeting was also attended by the chief of the Royal Court, the minister of foreign affairs and expatriatesthe king's adviser, the director of His Majesty's Office, the king's adviser for economic affairs, as well as Qatari Minister of Finance, Ali Shareef Al Emadi.
