Jordan Calls on UN Security Council to Hold Emergency Session on Gaza

Amman, July 31 (QNA) -Jordan as a non-permanent member of the Security Council and on behalf of the Arab Group called Thursday on the UN
Council to hold an emergency session to discuss the situation in Gaza.

Jordan suggested that the session should see the participation of the UNRWA Commissioner-General and the UN Coordinator for humanitarian affairs and should be followed by a closed consultations session that would be attended only be the UN Security Council members.

Meanwhile, Jordanian Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh held today a phone call from his Palestinian counterpart Riad al-Maliki discussed the latest developments and efforts being exerted to stop the Israeli aggression on Gaza.(QNA)
