Japan’s Nikkei Index Closes Up by More Than 2 Percent

The Japanese Nikkei index closed up by more than two percent, on Monday, from its three-month low, recorded in the previous session.

The index have recovered, supported by improved investor sentiment following Wall Street’s rise at the end of last week.

The Tokyo Stock Exchange reported that the Nikkei 225 index ended the session with an increase of 801.22 points, or 2.13 percent, from the last session, reaching 38,468.63 points.

Meanwhile, the broader Topex index closed up 60.13 points, or 2.23 percent, to 2,759.67.
