Information Minister : Deadline for Creative Content Competition extended to July 1

Manama, Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, held an open meeting with owners and representatives of Bahraini production companies. The meeting discussed the details and goals of the Creative Content Competition, launched recently by the ministry to develop innovative media content for Bahrain Television, including programmes, series, films, plays, and music. During the meeting, Dr. Al Noaimi said that the competition came within the framework of the Creative Lab initiative, launched by the ministry, in line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and in implementation of the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. It aims at supporting national talents and utilising their capabilities. The minister has announced an extension of the deadline of the competition to July 1. Entries can be sent through the Ministry of Information's official website at www.mia.gov.bh. Dr. Al Noaimi highlighted that th e winning entries in the five award categories (programmes, series, films, plays, and music) will be selected by a specialised jury committee, applying standards and objectives that align with the award's goals of enhancing television content. He emphasised that the ministry has allocated the necessary budget to implement the winning projects. The minister underscored the important role of the private sector in supporting the ministry's efforts in developing the national media and enhancing cooperation with national production institutions. Dr. Al Noaimi said that the rapid advancements in the global media sector, driven by the widespread of digital media and artificial intelligence, have significantly increased the level of competition. He commended the support of the national production institutions for the Ministry of Information's plans and efforts aimed at developing television and radio content. For their part, the representatives and owners commended the minister's initiative to provide them with t he opportunity to participate and showcase their work through the competition.
