Washington, Industry, Commerce and Tourism Minister, Zayed bin Rashid Al-Zayani, met here today the US Trade Representative, Catherine Tye.
Bahraini Ambassador to US, Shaikh Abdulla bin Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Assistant Undersecretary for Domestic and Foreign Trade at the Industry Ministry, Shaikh Hamad bin Salman Al Khalifa, and senior officials from both sides attended the meeting.
The minister stressed the importance of the Bahrain-US relations, especially in the trade fields, noting that they are constantly consolidated through joint agreements, exchanged visits and related trade programmes.
Minister Al-Zayani highlighted the crucial role the private sector in the two countries can play to benefit from the incentives provided by the two countries’ agreements, particularly regarding the increase of bilateral trade exchange and broadening the scope of exports and imports between the two countries.
