HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister meets with a number of Ministers and senior officials following the conclusion of Ashura

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met with the President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, HE Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, the Minister of Interior, HE General Shaikh Rashed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the Minister of Finance and National Economy, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Vice President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Shaikh Abdulhussain Khalaf Al Asfoor, the Chief of Public Security, Lieutenant-General Tariq bin Hassan Al Hassan, the Chairman of the Jaffari Endowments Council, Yousif bin Saleh Al Saleh, and a number of senior officials, at Riffa Palace.

The meeting took place following the success of this year’s Ashura.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted the strength of the Kingdom’s social fabric, derived from its diversity and commitment to peaceful coexistence, in line with the aspirations of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

His Royal Highness commended the crucial role the Kingdom’s ministries and government agencies played in the success of this year’s Ashura procession, reflecting the national responsibility of Team Bahrain.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister also expressed gratitude to the government authorities, led by the Ministry of Interior, the Jaffari Endowments Council, the General Authority of Hussaini Processions, the heads of ma’atams and hussainias, supervising committees, and volunteers for their efforts and commitment to facilitating Ashura.

For their part, the Ministers and senior officials expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness, and extended thanks for His Royal Highness’ commitment to supporting and ensuring the success of Ashura.
