During its annual dinner with the Lebanese diaspora at Harvard Club in NYC, the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) granted a Doctorate Honoris Causa to Georges Khabbaz, a Lebanese actor, writer, comedian, musician, and theater professor. USEK expresses its honor and pride of its alumnus, who represents a distinguished artistic value.
The ceremony was organized by the Advancement Office at USEK and attended by the Permanent Observer of the Holy See to the United Nations in New York, Archbishop Gabriele Giordano Caccia, the Superior General of the Lebanese Maronite Order, Abbot Hadi Mahfouz and USEK President Fr. Talal Hachem, in addition to the members of the USEK Board of Trustees and the Board of Directors of the Holy Spirit University Foundation (HSUF) and several Lebanese expatriate figures that support the educational sector in Lebanon.
