HM King’s enlightened vision consolidated independence of judiciary: AP Speaker

Adel bin Abdulrahman Al-Asoomi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament (AP), has affirmed that the enlightened vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa regarding the consolidation of the independence of the judiciary has enhanced the progress of the kingdom’s judicial system.

He praised the royal constant keenness to improve the efficiency of the judiciary and consolidate the principle of the rule of law, being among the pillars of the comprehensive development process, led by HM the King.

Al-Asoomi also commended the great efforts made by the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to support the kingdom’s judicial branch to carry out its national responsibilities of preserving rights, consolidating social security and stability, as well as achieving justice in its broad and modern meaning.

The AP Speaker made the statements while meeting Counsellor Adel Fahim Mohamed Azab, President of the Egyptian State Council, in the presence of the members of the Council’s General Assembly.

Adel Al-Asoomi affirmed the depth of the Bahraini-Egyptian relations, strengthened thanks to the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and their keenness to bolster bilateral ties at all levels.

Counsellor Adel Fahim praised the presidency of Bahrain’s Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) of the Arab Union of Administrative Judiciary (AUAJ), headquartered at Egypt’s State Council, expressing his confidence in the ability of Bahrain, as AUAJ President, to strengthen fraternity and friendship relations among Arab administrative courts and state councils.

He also commended the efforts being exerted by the Arab Parliament, under the leadership of Speaker Adel Al-Asoomi, to enhance joint Arab action and serve the Arab Nation, stressing the State Council’s keenness to bolster cooperation with the AP in all issues that achieve Arab interests.
