HM King receives Russian Mufti Shura Council Chairman

Moscow, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, received His Eminence the Grand Mufti Sheikh Rawil Gaynetdin, Chairman of the Mufti Shura Council of Russia, Head of the Religious Administration for Muslims of the Russian Federation. The meeting came on the sidelines of HM the King's official visit to the Russian Federation. HM the King highlighted the historical relations between the two countries and the advanced cooperation on various levels. HM King Hamad commended the efforts of HE the Grand Mufti in advancing the principles of moderation and tolerance of Islam, advocating for peace, and fostering values of coexistence and dialogue. HM the King affirmed Bahrain's longstanding commitment to promoting the values of tolerance and coexistence, and rejecting intolerance and extremism. HM King Hamad emphasised the kingdom's efforts and humanitarian initiatives aimed at fostering a culture of understanding and peaceful coexistence. For his part, the Russian Muftis' Shura Council Chairman lauded the king dom's role in promoting the teachings of Islam and its initiatives aimed at strengthening cooperation and communication between various cultures and religions.
