HM King receives HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, at the Al-Safriya Palace today.

His Highness Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Personal Representative, Lieutenant-General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Salman Al Khalifa, Royal Guard Minister, and Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, were present.

During the meeting, local issues and the ongoing efforts to omptimise the kingdom’s wide-ranging achievements were reviewed.

HM the King expressed thanks and appreciation to HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for HRH’s efforts to enhance the kingdom’s status and competitiveness in various fields, as well as improve the efficiency and quality of the government services delivered to the citizens.

In this regard, HM King Hamad praised the government’s pioneering projects across various mega development fields, particularly housing, given their importance to the citizens.

HM the King lauded the outcomes of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s successful visit to the United Kingdom, noting that the agreements and memoranda of understanding signed on the sidelines of the visit will boost the robust Bahrain-UK relations and broaden the long-standing partnership between the two friendly countries.

Referring to the 22nd anniversary of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), HM the King lauded the pioneering role played by the SCW, led by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of HM the King and SCW President, to support and empower Bahraini women, as well as enhance their status and performance in various fields.

HM King Hamad congratulated HRH Princess Sabeeka on the occasion, affirming his pride in the Bahraini women’s landmark achievements, and honourable role as essential and effective partners in the kingdom’s comprehensive development process.
