HM King praises religious liberties; cohesive Bahraini people

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received today at Al Safriya Palace, in the presence of Personal Representative His Highness Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, chairman and members of the Husseiniya Processions, heads and officials in charge of community centres (maatams).

They greeted HM the King at the end of the Ashoora commemoration, expressing thanks and gratitude for the royal directives to all Government agencies to provide services and facilities, which contributed to the success of the rituals.

HM the King commended the efforts made by the Jaffari Endowments Council, chairman and members of the Husseinyia Processions and maatams heads and officials, praising the good organization, cooperation and coordination with competent authorities,

He appreciated the role of all ministers and competent authorities, citing mainly the Ministry of Interior and its agencies, hailing their dedicated efforts in delivering security and community services and providing all facilities to ensure the commemoration is held freely and in an orderly way.

HM the King noted religious liberties which are practised in the Kingdom of Bahrain, without any discord of discrimination, highlighting longstanding specific features which have marked Bahraini society down generations as well as social and national cohesion.

“These achievements which we inherited down generations have safeguarded our authentic Bahraini identity”, said HM the King, praising scholars and citizens.

“Bahrain is witnessing development momentum across all fields thanks to the sincere commitment of its cohesive people, and their charity drive which they derive from the tolerant Islamic teachings”, HM the King added.

In attendance were Royal Court Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs President Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Public Affairs Minister at the Royal Court Dr. Majid bin Ali Alnoaimi, Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Minister Nawaf bin Mohammed Al Maawda and Information Minister Ramzan bin Abdulla Alnoaimi.

Poet Mohammed Hadi Al Halwaji recited a poem before HM the King on this occasion.
