His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today issued Decree 30 of 2023 restructuring the board of directors of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), based on a presentation by the Prime Minister and the approval of the Cabinet.
Chaired by Eng. Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf, the newly-formed RERA board includes as members:
Minister of Housing and Urban Planning.
Minister of Industry and Commerce.
Urban Planning and Development CEO.
Economic Development Board (EDB) representative Mai Mohammed Ashoor.
Survey and Land Registration Bureau (SLRB) director-general.
Bassem Mohammed Al Sai.
Abdul Ghaffar Abdulrahim Al Kooheji.
Mohammed Rajab Ayoob.
Dr. Maher Abdulaziz Al Shaer.
The board of directors shall choose in its first meeting a vice-chairman to replace him in his absence.
The Prime Minister and the Ministers - each in their capacity - shall implement this decree, which takes effect upon its publication in the Official Gazette.
