HH the Emir Visits Arab World Institute in Paris

Paris, June 24 (QNA) – HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani visited on Tuesday evening Arab World Institute in Paris.

HH the Emir was welcomed upon arrival by President of Arab World Institute Jack Lang and a number of senior officials.

    HH the Emir and the Arab World Institute President reviewed areas of bilateral cooperation, particularly in the scientific, cultural and intellectual areas and ways of enhancing such cooperation, and exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual interest.

    His Highness also paid a visit to “Pilgrimage to Makkah” exhibition, organized by the Arab World Institute in collaboration with the King Abdulaziz Public Library and the British Museum, and was briefed on the expo’s collection of books and rare paintings from different Arab countries, copies of the Holy Quran, old photos of Pilgrims and historical images of Makkah’s Grand Mosque and the Kaaba and Mount Arafat.

    His Highness was, as well, briefed on the manuscripts, maps and travelers writing about Hajj and its rituals.

    HH the Emir was accompanied during the visit by a number of Their Excellencies members of the official delegation. (QNA)
