Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) First Deputy Chairman, General Sports Authority (GSA) Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa stressed the importance of the neighborhood stadiums which promote the policy of sport for all.
He directed to continue implementing the project which was first launched by Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, SCYS Chairman HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
HH Shaikh Khalid underscored the importance of the project which benefits all social segments, commending the pivotal role of the private sector in supporting national and community schemes that benefit youth and sports people.
A total of twenty-seven neighbourhood stadiums have so far been provided countrywide in partnership between the public and private sectors countrywide, following directives from HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The neighbourhood stadiums provide venues to exercise multiple sports and activities, targeting mainly youngsters aged 6 to 14, as part of efforts to tap into promising talents and encourage them to practice sports.
