HE Administrative Development Minister: Qatar Achieves Positive Outcomes in Human Development

Doha, June 23 (QNA) – Under the wise leadership of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al -Thani Qatar has achieved substantial positive results in the field of human development and ranked first in the Arab world and the 36th in the UNDP’s 2013 Human Development index.

This came in the keynote address by HE the Minister of Administrative Development Dr. Issa Saad Al-Jafali Al-Nuaimi at the opening session of the Third Conference of the Institutes of Public Administration and Development Management in GCC countries, which currently in progress in Doha.

The three-day conference entitled “Change and Administrative Creativity in the Government Organisation, Experiences and Future Visions”, is being held under the patronage of HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani.

In his address, Al-Nuaimi pointed to a number of programs and projects that adopted by the Ministry of Administrative Development to improve rendering of services to citizens and the residents alike and to exploit modern technology to streamline work processes, rendering services ,regulatory reform and creating a suitable atmosphere to enhance the values of integrity and transparency.

HE the minister reiterated Qatar’s due keenness to develop human resources due to their importance in upgrading the Qatari society through creating a suitable environment for creativity and hard work to achieve requirements of comprehensive and sustainable development, the matter which will contributes to upgrading and promoting all organs of the state.

In this context and in accordance with the directives of HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the Ministry of Administrative Development and Institute of Public Administration, in coordination with all the organs of the state seek to achieve the first pillar of Qatar National Vision 2030, by creating high-quality training opportunities for all citizens according to their aspirations and abilities.

He stated that the participants’ discussions and interventions during the conference will be undoubtedly fruitful and constructive in their content , expressing meantime confidence that the outcomes of this conference and its positive impact will lead to achieve the required objectives for the interests of the GCC countries and their peoples .

HE the Minister thanked the GCC General Secretariat, represented by Dr. Abdullah bin Aql Al Hashim, the Assistant GCC Secretary General and all workers at Environment and Human Affairs Sector their continued support and contribute effectively to the success of this conference.

He also thanked Hadi bin Saeed Al Khayareen, the general manager of the Institute of Public Administration, who is also chairman of the supreme committee of the conference, and his team for the outstanding preparations made to ensure the tangible success of such a conference .(QNA)
