H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, on Monday, received Jeremy Hunt, British Foreign Secretary, and his accompanying delegation.
The meeting, held at the Ministry's Diwan in Abu Dhabi, discussed the bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation in all fields for the benefit of the two friendly peoples.
The two sides also exchanged views on the current regional developments and reviewed a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Sheikh Abdullah welcomed Hunt's visit which, he said, would further contribute to strengthening cooperation between the UAE and the United Kingdom in the light of the deep-rooted and historic ties of friendship.
The British Minister praised his country's progressive relations with the UAE and the keenness to develop them. He also lauded the status achieved by the UAE in regional and international arenas and their accomplishments in various domains.
The meeting was attended by Sulaiman Hamid Almazroui, UAE Ambassador to the United Kingdom, and Khalifa Shaheen Al-Marar, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for Political Affairs.
