Defender Nico Schlotterbeck will earn his maiden cap while goalkeepers Marc-André ter Stegen and Kevin Trapp will play one half each in Germany’s friendly international with Israel on Saturday, coach Hansi Flick has said. “Nico Schlotterbeck will start the game,” Flick said on Friday of the Freiburg defender who has been in the squad before but is yet to play. Eintracht Frankfurt’s Trapp and Barcelona’s Ter Stegen are normally ranked behind captain Manuel Neuer, who will be on the bench this time around but should start again on Tuesday in the Netherlands.
