GCC Parliamentary Committee on Legislation Concludes Meeting in Muscat

Muscat, September 08 (QNA) -The parliamentary committee on the legislation of the regular meeting of heads of Shura councils and parliaments of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) concluded its meetings in Muscat Monday.

During today’s meeting, participants approved the amended regulation for the GCC parliamentary committee, and referred it for adoption at the next regular meeting of heads of GCC Shura councils and parliaments.

The committee aimed at reaching an integrated GCC parliamentary system as a reflection of Gulf States’ aspirations, heads of delegations to the committee meeting said.

Qatar’s delegation to the meeting included the Advisory (Shura) council members Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Obiedan, Mohammed Abdullah Al Sulaiti, and Ahmed Rashid Hamad Al Me’edadi. (QNA)
