the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary General Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi received Dr. Annette Weber, the European Union Special Representative for the Horn of Africa.
Albudaiwi stressed the importance of the partnership between the GCC and the European Union (EU) in many fields to serve mutual interests and accomplish common objectives.
The meeting discussed several topics, most notably reviewing the cooperation between the two sides, especially in the areas of peace, security, climate and food security in the Horn of Africa.
They also exchanged views on the political and security developments in the Horn of Africa, the Red Sea and Sudan.
