French, British Nationals Evacuated from Libya

Paris, July 30 (QNA) – France has evacuated close to 50 French and British citizens from Libya following a sharp deterioration in the security situation, the government in Paris said Wednesday.

Government spokesman Stephane Le Foll said the evacuations had been carried out by boat.

“A little over 40” French nationals and local staff working for the French government had left the country overnight, along with seven Britons, diplomatic sources told dpa.

The sources emphasized that the departures were temporary.(QNA)
