Field inspection visits to be stepped up to ensure full compliance with precautionary measures

Assistant Undersecretary for Control and Resources at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Abdulaziz Al-Ashraf, has said that the inspection and awareness-raising campaigns carried out by the Inspection Directorate will continue to ensure outlets’ full commitment to the Industry Minister’s edict 68/2021 on closing industrial and commercial outlets as a precautionary measure to limit the spread of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).

He added that during more than 2,000 field visits carried out by the Inspection Directorate’s law enforcement officers recently, irregularities have been rectified and unnecessary sections have been closed to ensure the sound implementation of the ministerial edict.
