Executive Director of Al-Duhail Club Adnan Al Ali stressed the great importance of the Qatar Football Cup, and that Al-Duhail's ambition is to win the title of the 8th edition of the tournament when it takes on Al-Sadd in the final match at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium tomorrow.
In exclusive statements to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Al Ali said they were looking forward to winning the Qatar Cup title because of its great importance and a special place for everyone, hoping that it will be the second championship to claim after winning the Ooredoo Cup a few days ago, which constituted a great morale boost for the players and the technical and administrative staff towards the upcoming competitions.
He added that they prepared well especially since the confrontation will be against a strong team like Al-Sadd, as the matches of the two teams have become very special after they dominated the championships in recent years, hoping that they will be on time and achieve their third title of the Qatar Cup and compensate for the loss of the last edition in front of Al-Sadd in particular.
Al Ali noted that Al-Duhail is heading towards a very important period during the last stages of the season, as matches continue in the various tournaments that the team competes for, considering that the issue needs to be managed by the technical staff led by Argentine Hernan Crespo in order to keep the players fully prepared to engage in these different battles.
Al Ali concluded by hoping that the Qatar Cup's final match will be as important as the event, and that the match will be full of excitement so that the large fans expected to be present at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium will enjoy it. He hoped that Al-Duhail will succeed in achieving victory and claiming the second title in the current season to go towards another goal in the season which - he hopes - will be exceptional. (QNA)
