Everton Move to Fourth Place with Tough Win

London, April 12 (QNA) – Everton Leapfrogged Arsenal to occupy the
all-important fourth spot with a tough win 1-0 over Sunderland on
Saturday.
Sunderland defender Wes Brown scored an own goal in the 75th minute
to gift Everton the fourth place. The significance of the fourth
place is that it makes Everton eligible to participate in next
year’s Champions League competition.
The win took Everton two points ahead of Arsenal with 66 points.
Arsenal do have a game in hand however since they have not played
this week due to their involvement in the FA Cup semi-final.
